One of the best gifts I’ve used over and over again is the DuWop Eye Palette. I got this one as a birthday gift and have added it to my make-up collection (which girl doesn’t have a make-up collection?).
The palette contains a lighter and darker version of the base color, and includes a shimmer and a cream liner (big fan of the cream liner).
It also comes with a double ended brush for application, one side for the shadow and the other side for the cream liner.

What is rad about this product is that in one little compact you get eye shadow for day and night. I have it in my purse almost all the time. It has been perfect for me when I leave the office and want to grab some dinner with my friends. I just apply the darker shadow and add some shimmer.
I personally use the Violet palette but you can choose from the other colors they have; Blue, Brown, Green, Amber, Grey and Rose.
I dig it and you will too! Feel free and leave a comment especially if you have an opinion on any of the other colors.

Been working on this writeup for weeks now. After years of dying my hair, using blow dryers, and recently adding the straightening iron it’s finally happened: DRY HAIR (ugh!) I knew I had to start doing something. I mean I would do the occasional oil treatments but I wanted something to help maintain it everyday. So I decided to try out a few of the leading dry hair products and see which ones actually worked. Here are my personal results using them…
My 1st test purchase:
Caviar Anti-Aging Moisture Shampoo by Alterna
Caviar Anti-Aging Moisture Conditioner by Alterna
My opinion after use: I absolutely LOVED the Alterna Shampoo! Nothing dull about this one, it left my hair extremely silky and moisturized. The Alterna Conditioner was a great compliment to the shampoo and added some body that I needed as well. Both of these were well worth the money and were originally recommended to me by my hair dresser. To be thorough, i wanted to try another dry hair product so I made one more test purchase…
My 2nd test purchase:
Shear Splendor Restorative Shampoo by Philosophy
Shear Splendor Restorative Conditioning Mask by Philosophy
My opinion after use: The Shear Splendor Shampoo did not win any kudos from me. My hair felt like it hadn’t made any progress and I could have gotten the same results with my regular store bought shampoo.
The Shear Splendor Conditioning Mask on the other hand was GREAT! I absolutely loved it! It left my hair soft and silky and there was a very tangible and visible difference. The smell was great and inviting, as well.
Conclusion: Since doing this dry hair product comparison, I have stayed exclusively with the Alterna shampoo and conditioner. Worth every single penny if you’re tired of dry hair like I was. I highly recommend both and the reviews online for the shampoo and conditioner seem to echo my sentiments. If you have an opinion on any of the products reviewed here feel free to chime in below in the comments section.

No syrup needed for this one (get it!? ok I thought it was catchy). Body Butter is great for dry spots on your skin. I personally love Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Body Butter.
It smells so good I sometimes skip my perfume and dab some of it behind my ears, rub some on my wrists, and a little bit on my chest. Other than that, don’t forget to massage body butter on your dry elbows, knees and those specific places where dry skin occurs the most. It gives a great shiny look to it and stays on all day.

Sunscreen is a must! Some kind of SPF is definitely needed in your every day life, one way or another. Either buy makeup with SPF in it, or make sure it’s in your skin cream from head to toe. I have naturally oily skin and was afraid to use sunscreen because I thought it would even add more uninvited oil. But thanks to modern times there are non-greasy and oil-free products out there on the market. So don’t be afraid to SPF it!

I have thin fine hair and always hated buying product for it in my younger days. At the end of the day it seemed like my hair would go back to the same way it was before I put anything in it. Only a bit drier and crispier from all the random hairspray I would buy. But as time passed and I experimented with different products (no animals were harmed!), I eventually found hope for us TFH people (Thin Fine Hair). One of the products that has been working very well for my layered hair style is Alterna Hemp Styling Mud.
I use it all the time before going out at night. It’s easy to apply and I never have to use any other product with it. All I do is put a dime full on my palms, rub my hands together, apply it to the tips of my hair and sculpt it exactly how I want it to look. You’ll eventually get your own technique for applying it. Other than that it does all the work for you.
A two Big thumbs up for this Styling Mud!

“It’s my skin and I can cry if I want to.” Thought I’d start it out with a little jingle. So what’s going on in the world of beauty these days? Apparently a lot because I remember a few years back women were getting injections in their lips to make them fuller (which looked pretty painful by the way). And now we are able to shop online, click buy and a few days later the nice UPS person comes to your door and delivers what is somewhat of a little miracle: LIP PLUMPERS. With a simple swipe of a lip gloss wand you too can have those luscious lips just like Angelina Jolie. Isn’t it amazing. I love reading up on the latest Beauty inventions or just improve the ones that have been around for years. Do beauty queens still use Vaseline on their teeth? Let’s just end it on that questionable note.
